Project Fierce Chicago seeks to create affirming transitional housing for LGTBQIA+ youth in Chicago that is responsive to the needs of young people. By mobilizing our communities, we provide pathways to independence.
We envision a future where all youth have access to safe and affirming housing and the support and opportunities to achieve their goals. We believe in the power of collective action and community accountability. When youth thrive, communities thrive.
We’re starting an LGBTQQI blog about housing, youth homeless and other related issues, and we’d love to hear from you! Youth *highly* encouraged to participate (we can offer transit passes and other perks as incentive)!
Send us an email at firstname.lastname@example.org if you’d like to contribute! Here are some topical ideas:
Why you think PFC is important or why you support us
Blog about a PFC event you attended
Write an essay about a current event or news article you read
A poem or piece you wrote about housing in Chicago, why you think folks experience homelessness in Chicago, or how you’d like to see that change or how you are a part of that change, or your own experiences
